See the trailer of the documentary On January 9th 2000 Michel Gardey drove his car across the south of Mali racing for the Paris-Dakar rally. At few hundreds of meters from a village called Yelekela, a hole in the racing track knocked down the car and changed this man’s life and that of the villagers. Michel and the inhabitants of Yelekela got on with one another while fixing the car together. They corresponded during five years and Michel got back to Yelekela in January 2005. This documentary shows the life of a small village from Mali’s bush through the warm reunion of friends from different cultures.
